J.D. from Universidad del Rosario, Bogotá, and Master in International Economics and Management from S.D.A.- Bocconi, Milan; Ricardo Urdaneta specializes in international transaction law, contract management and international arbitration, with emphasis on the area of construction and engineering law.
 
He has represented clients in successful international arbitration proceedings under ICC and ICDR rules, having obtained awards or settlements for over USD$26 million.
 
He is a member of the A roster of national arbitrators (Engineering and Construction) and the roster of international arbitrators of the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce, and the A roster of national arbitrators (Mining and Energy) and the roster of international arbitrators of the Center for Conciliation and Arbitration of the Medellín Chamber of Commerce. Has acted in over three dozen cases as co-arbitrator, presiding arbitrator or sole arbitrator, with amounts in dispute of up to USD$820 million.
 
He has taught International Contracts and International Arbitration at Universidad del Rosario and Colegio de Estudios Superiores de Administración (CESA). 
 
Mr. Urdaneta is fluent in Spanish, French, English and Italian.
